Why My Ten Years in the Army Shapes How I'll Serve LA-03

I served ten years in the U.S. Army, rising to Sergeant First Class (E-7), with a deployment to Afghanistan and leadership postings across the country. That service taught me something every veteran already knows: you take care of the person next to you, no matter what.

Louisiana's 3rd District is home to roughly 34,000 veterans, concentrated in Calcasieu and Lafayette parishes. Too many of them are still fighting for the benefits, healthcare, and respect they earned. That fight doesn't end when the uniform comes off, and it won't end for me either.

In Congress, I'll push for faster VA claims processing, better access to care in rural parishes, and real support for veterans transitioning into civilian careers. Our veterans led when their country called. It's time their country led for them.

Let's Build Our CommUNITY.
